I am a free-lance artist with a “love of letters”, specializing in calligraphy, illustration, bookbinding, sign painting and gilding. With a deep appreciation for nature and science, I paint in the field, working “en plein air” capturing the scenery before me. Nature’s showcase is my teacher that is both inspiring and spiritual. I am an avid journal keeper, filling several books at the same time and a professional illustrator for books and magazines. Journaling is my specialty and as a result, a publisher approached me to write a book on the subject; Artful Journals is in its 2nd printing with Sterling Publishing 2007.

Life and Art are one.
My work is so joyous that it borders on play. Work created by hand and mind and soul. It has been a journey of study and lots of sweat with only time, perseverance and heart. My life’s graph of this journey is a silhouette of mountain peaks and valleys. The lessons are in my life’s blood and recorded in my journals. I have come to understand what goodness is and that the full spectrum of beauty is beyond the visible.
